There are many reasons why White Girl Rose is Bad Wine #22. The first is the insensitive name which is extremely racist. At a minimum, it is an inappropriate way to drive sales. It is not the only wine out there like this. And, I never approve of buying labels. Also, this stinker comes at a hefty price for cheaply made rose at about $16 per bottle. It is an embarrassment to California! Any rose from Italy or the south of France tastes great for $10-$12. I will give you some examples below.

More Reasons

For $16, I expect a stellar rose. This one disappoints. While it has a nice aroma, it goes downhill from there. After the first sip, you get a harsh taste in the wine like a chemical. Then, you swallow and the flavor disappears instantly. So, it has no finish. Also, it has a message on the bottle. They attempt to sound funny, but they are not. In fact, it is quite stupid. It is as if they are talking to elementary school girls. And, I guess they are only speaking to white girls. That is not cool at all.

Great Rose Wines

Europe has the best rose wines, especially Italy, France and Spain. They are called rosato, rose and rosado respectively. And, they are great bargains. You can find La Vielle Ferme from Languedoc, France for less than $10. Cerasuolo from Abruzzo, Italy can be found for the same price. However, the popular Zaccagnini is a bit more.
