Bad Wine #18
Menage a Trois Is Bad Wine #18
Menage a Trois is Bad Wine #18, because they are selling a silly name. If they paid more attention to making wine, then their wine might taste good. I bought a bottle of their cabernet sauvignon. It tastes like diluted wine. At least, they do not rape you at $10-$12.99 per bottle. Unlike Layer Cake which sells for $15-$16 per bottle for equally crappy wine. I cannot preach this enough. Do NOT buy labels! Learn to buy wine. I put a link at the bottom of this post so you can read about label buying. And, there is a link to help you with your wine shopping. Read them and print out the cheat sheet from the wine shopping post.
Suggested Cabernet Sauvignons
I have some suggestions for really good cabernet sauvignons. Sorry, no silly names or funny labels. My favorite at the low price point of $12.97 is Liberty School from Paso Robles. It is difficult to find a bad wine in Paso Robles. Menage a Trois is an embarrassment to North Coast California wines. For $14-$16, you can get Louis Martini California or Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon. Their Napa Valley version sells for a little over $30 and is worth every penny if you can afford it.
