Italy Has Some Of The Best Rosé Wine
How about a nice Rosé from Italy, or Rosato in Italian? Italy has some of the best Rosé wine in the world. They used to be hard to find in the past, but you can find them in the U.S. now. I am going to recommend Cerasuolo which is a popular Rosé made from Montepulciano grapes in Abruzzi. It is called Miravigna Terre di Chieti Rosé. Notice they are using English (Rosé) on the label so that people know what it is. The best part is that it’s only $10. That’s because it’s not popular yet so stock up now!
Aromas and Tasting Notes
All Rosés boast the smell and taste of strawberries. This is why so many fall in love with it. Sure they have plenty of other notes like raspberry, honeysuckle, etc. In fact, Rosé is being made with many different grapes in many countries. Therefore, there are a variety of flavor profiles. However, they all bring a good amount of acidity which is why they pair well with many foods. This is why Italy has some of the best Rosé wine.
Pairings For Rosé
Depending on which Rosé you have, the pairings can vary. However, the best way to deal with this is to try your Rosé with whatever you want. Let your taste decide if it goes with your food. I find that it goes with pizza, barbecued meats (other than red meat), chicken dishes, Asian food, Mexican food and more. Of course, it is delicious by itself!
